Breathwork Therapy
Breathwork is a wonderful therapeutic process which assists you to connect to your deepest inner self. Breathwork supports you to access deep levels of understanding within you, in order to gain clarity and life direction; and supports you to understand and release the accumulated affects of stress, tension, worry and unresolved issues, in the body.
Core Connection Breathwork (CCB) is an active form of conscious connected breathing, connecting the breath, mind and body. CCB also builds on the breathwork process through the use of other modalities such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Inner Child work, Soul Retrieval and understanding of family systems.

What does a
Breathwork Session look like?
Breathwork Sessions (individual and group) are often held over two hours. Before breathing,
you will be supported to set an intention for what you would like to get
out of the session. Intentions are personal, and may be directed around
relationships, family, career, events, patterns, illness, uncertainty,
or feelings.
In a Breathwork Session you will normally lie down in a comfortable position with your eyes closed. You will be asked to breathe into the belly in a full and gently way. You may like to imagine it like a circle of continuous breathing. You will be encouraged to breathe in this way for at least an hour. During this time, you will be supported to explore, through the breath and the body, anything that comes up for you around your intention. You may be supported to recognise held beliefs, and release or reframe these to support you now. You will be encouraged to release any unwanted/excess energy in the body, and be supported to understand anything that you are holding on to that may no longer support you.
After the session, you may feel more peaceful, energised, and clear; or feel a release of bodily tension. You will be supported around what came up for you, and discuss any further support you may need around your intention and wellbeing.
One Breathwork Session may be enough for you to
feel complete around your intentions, other times you may feel that you
require some on-going support. I have found that a series of breath
sessions over a period of months is most beneficial in working through
blocks and putting in place positive actions for change within a
nurturing and loving support network.
Individual and Group Breathes
The process for an individual or group breath
session is basically the same. However, in a group breath session, a
number of people will be supported to breathe at the same time, while
maintaining their own individual intention. I support people to
experience both environments. Individual breath sessions are obviously
very useful for one-to-one support. In a group breathe, a wonderful and
creative group energy is generated that can support the group to explore
their intentions
in a different way.
Breathwork and Pregnancy
Breathwork is also suitable for pregnant mums, and is in fact, most useful during pregnancy. I support parents to consider using Breathwork as a tool for releasing any anxiety, fears or worries about the pregnancy, childbirth or babies/children. Happy mum = happy bubs! Healing your own belief systems around pregnancy and birth will positively influence your own birthing experience, as well as increasing your understanding of your own needs and beliefs around parenting your new family member. Likewise, Breathwork is also very valuable post partum, to release any bodily tension or stress and to de-brief your birth experience.
